Shape Development is built around an experienced team, allowing our company to confidently take on and complete technically challenging and complex projects.

Key Personnel

Rege Makowski - Chief Executive Officer/ Owner Rege and Josh co-founded Shape in 2017, with a mission of creating sustainable urban development in and around the city of Pittsburgh. As a third generation carpenter, Rege started in the construction field in 2002 as an apprentice union carpenter. He quickly worked his way to foreman, to field superintendent and then project manager. As a natural motivator, Rege enjoys managing the day to day operations of the company.

Josh Kazar - Chief Financial Officer/ Co-Owner Co founder of Shape 2017. Josh started as an apprentice in the Allied Craft Workers Union in 2001 and quickly worked his way up to a project management and estimating role. For Shape, Josh manages the construction supervisors and oversees the site labor, quality control and project safety as well as the financial oversight.

Doug Van Haitsma – Chief Operating Officer. With a passion for sustainable urban development and 25+ year background in sales, management, and real estate development, Doug enjoys assisting our clients in finding creative solutions for their real estate projects. Doug has played instrumental roles in developing over $45 million in real estate in the Pittsburgh region, from single family rehabs to large multifamily developments utilizing complex public and private financing.
