Bright open-concept living room and kitchen

Madison on Penn

From a vacant lot along Penn Avenue to a newly constructed 8-unit, three-story rental building, featuring a bold modern facade of white framing, warm wood, and dark masonry. Light-filled interiors and refined finishes balance contemporary elegance with everyday livability.

Hazelwood Quadplex

This modern four-unit condominium was built for the City of Bridges Community Land Trust on an empty lot in Pittsburgh’s Hazelwood neighborhood. Designed by RDC, this 5,600 sf, all-electric building includes advanced ducted mini-split HVAC systems, a fire sprinkler system, and 11’ ceilings. Shape worked closely with design team before construction to keep the project in budget while maintaining the modern intent envisioned by the client and architect.

Pacific Sanctuary

This beautiful, historic building sat empty for years, with its crumbling plaster walls and ceilings. Our company worked closely with the client and their architect to renovate the main floors. We also repurposed the old Sunday school classrooms into offices and bathrooms, replastered the main sanctuary, and installed new lighting and heating systems.

Montana Building

Shape Development Group rehabilitated and preserved an existing affordable housing development in Pittsburgh’s Friendship neighborhood. Our work involved repainting the building, installing new floors, and replacing the fire escapes, roof, masonry, kitchens, and HVAC and electrical systems.
